Trusting Fellow Christian Bloggers

I was speaking with a friend last night who is also a fellow Christian who has an online business and we some how got on the subject of trust.  As a work at home mom I do work with and for a number of people over the internet, some are Christians and some are not.  When a non-Christian lets me down and does not follow through on their promises, I am usually not surprised.  However when a Christian does this I am disappointed and at time can become discouraged myself.

While one would think that you could count on and depend on a Christian to do as they promised, we must remember that they too are just a “sinner saved by grace”.   We have to realize that we are not perfect.  We all fail at some point in our lives.  So while I may become disappointed in the way a Christian may act, I have to remind myself that we are both sinners and that the Lord is the only one that I can fully place my trust in.  Psalms 118:8 tells us, “[It is] better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.

As long as we trust in the Lord and give our worries over to Him, He will take care of everything and provide what is needed.  While there is still a level of trust needed with the people I work with daily, I no longer allow them to discourage me, instead I try to be an encouragement to them.
