photo credit: h.koppdelaney I have been listening to Nicole Dean’s Online Success Cast, which is great by the way, and have noticed that almost everyone she has interviewed has mentioned something about online mentors and being a part of a mastermind group.
I am a member of a mastermind group. I have those online that I look up to and am encouraged by. I believe having an online support group for blogging and business is great and I personally couldn’t live without the support. Well, I guess I could live without it, but I wouldn’t want to. But is it Biblical?
1 Thessalonians 5:11 tells us, “Wherefore comfort yourselves While , and edify one another, even as also ye do.“ and 1 Peter 4:10 says, “As every man hath received the gift, [even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
The above 2 verses tell me a lot. We are to encourage and comfort one another and we are also to minster to others with our talents. Online support such as a mastermind group is a form of encouragement. The mastermind group is there to encourage you to succeed in your blog or online business. They are there to offer advice and support when needed. By being a member of a mastermind group you are also able to encourage, advise, and support others. This is part of the whole “minster to others” thing. Online support and mastermind groups require a give and take to get the most value of it.
While you can achieve success with an online support or mastermind group, you have to remember, that it still takes hard work and prayer, and all the glory goes to the Lord.
“Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.” 1 Chronicles 29:13
